Templates are a way to create a project that is already populated with Actors, Items, Variables, Custom Asset Fields (CAFs), etc. If you use the "Games" template, for instance, your project will contain Two actors, an Item, a Location, and a few different CAFs (Act, Chapter, Scene, Level, etc.).

These templates are Chat Mapper projects themselves, so creating one is very simple:

  1. Create an empty project, and add what you want your template to have (CAFs, assets, etc).
  2. Change "Title" under "Project -> Project Settings" to the name you want your template to have.
  3. Save the project in C:/Users/[YOUR_USERNAME]/My Documents/Chat Mapper/Templates.
  4. You're good to go!

The new template will appear in the list when creating a new project or applying a template to your current project.
